See? I told you I'd be back...

Sorry to be away for so long. I just had way too much going on the last couple weeks, and something had to give. Life happens, I guess!

I've got some time to stamp today (I really should be cleaning or something, but let's not dwell on that), so I broke into my big, huge pile of new rubber from Starving Artistamps. Sir Silimus here is from the DoodleFactory Fairytale collection, and the sentiment is one of the Fairytail Sentiments. I stamped Sir Silimus with Adirondack Pitch Black and colored him with a combo of Prismacolor and Copic markers. The background is the Harlequin BG and I stamped it with Brilliance Rocket Red ink, so it's got some shimmer IRL.

Hope you like! I'm off to stamp some more.

Closed for the Summer?

Well, no, not really, but I sure don't do as much crafting in the summer. It's been very humid where I am, and that just doesn't mix with paper and ink (or me for that matter). Our latest heat wave seems to have broken, so maybe, just maybe, I can get some cards finished (lots of stuff started right now) and post something new for you guys.

Hope you're enjoying your summer. Hang in there...I'll be back soon!

Shabby Sunflowers

I hope you all don't mind just one more sunflower card. The stamp is the same one from smARTworks that I used on the last card, but this time I colored the flowers with Prismacolor pencils. No blending of any kind; I just loosely colored the image. The printed paper is Basic Grey Periphery.

I have to run off to work now, so this is going to have to be a very short post. Those of you who are lucky enough to be home stamping today...ink something for me, OK?

We have a Winner!

Random.org picked number 4, so the lucky winner of my freebies is exotic1. Send me your snail mail address, exotic1, and I'll send your goodies right out.

Stamp On!

I Have a Thing for Sunflowers

I really, really do...they're so big and bold and bright and cheerful...what's not to love?

This stamp set in one of the latest releases from smARTworks. I stamped my main image and the sentiment with Memento black ink and colored it with Copic markers. The background paper is stamped as well using the large sunflower that comes in the set and some light blue dye ink.

Later!

Freebies! I have Freebies!

I used to be a Creative Memories Consultant, and I still have tons of stuff hanging around. I have got to get rid of some of it to make room for my ever growing rubber stamp collection. So, I've decided that once a week or so, I'll post a give-away here. All you have to do is make a comment to this post. I'll draw a random winner on Tuesday.
Oh, yeah...this photo shows what you will get at the very least. If this doesn't fill the envelope, I'll stuff some more things in!
See you later with a card!

Holy Megapixels, Batman!

I feel like I'm never going to get used to the new stuff I have. The thing that's causing me the most angst right now is Photoshop Elements. I think it will be easy to use once I figure it out, but I'm impatient...and frustrated. It's almost like having to learn how to ride a bike all over again.

I did manage to get this file edited, resized, and saved so I actually have a card to post! The stamps I used are from the smARTworks Home set, and the colors are from Color Challenge 173 (Pomegranate, Celery, and Wasabi) over at Splitcoast. This was a pretty simple card to make. I stamped the image with Certainly Celery Classic ink, and the sentiment with Cranberry Crisp Classic. I smudged on some chalk color, and added a small scrap of ribbon. The green panel is embossed with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Enjoy the rest of the long weekend! I sincerely hope the weather is better where you are than it is here!
