I've been busy this week working on Christmas projects so I have lots to show you over the next several days. I'll start with the Santa portrait that I did in my painting class last weekend. Actually, since I'm working in colored pencils, I'm not sure whether to call my pieces paintings or drawings...I'll have to remember to ask next time I'm at the studio! I know there is a lot that could be improved with this painting/drawing, but since it's my first portrait I'm pretty darned happy with it. We used Primsmacolor pencils on Mi Teintes paper with just a bit of white pastel on the beard, so technically, I guess this is a multi-media piece.
Stay tuned...I have more to come!
