A Card for Mid-Autumn

Because of my "day job", I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with people from many countries and cultures, and I am currently working with two groups of engineers; one group visiting from India, and the other from China. Today is a very important holiday in China...the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon or Moon Cake Festival.

I know this card doesn't have any Asian influences, but it does look like mid-Autumn, don't you think? The technique I used is Layered Collage from the latest Technique Junkies newsletter. For inks, I used Ranger Distress Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo, and Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie Classic. My stamps are: Stampin' Up Sanded, PSX Oak Collage, Anita's leaf and dragonfly, and a maple leaf stamp that has no markings. A row of Dew Drops across the top finish off the design.

Happy Holiday to all of you of Chinese heritage!

  1. What beautiful collage and the dew drops just really are the right embellishments.
