Green Tea

It’s time for another Tea Party at smARTworks…make mine GREEN tea, please!

Green is my favorite color anyway, but this time of year I positively crave green. Give me some grass green, leaf green, spring green, moss green, garden green, lime green, mint green, olive green (oops! different train of thought forming, LOL). Anyway, you get the idea. I’ve grown weary of the neutral palette of a winter landscape. Give me green…bright, vibrant, glorious and alive green! Give me SPRING, already!!!

OK. I’m better now…I just had to rant a little. It’s been a loooong winter here.

Now, about the card. It was Susan’s turn to pick the challenge and she chose to challenge us with a monochromatic color scheme. So I made a green card—a very, very green card. The stamps I used are from the smARTworks Frog Hoppin’ set. With the exception of the card base, which I think is SU Garden Green, the papers all came out of my scrap pile (it’s huge). I colored my little froggies with Copic markers and used Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the stamping. The layout is a Splitcoast sketch challenge SC182. That’s all I can think of to tell you, but as always, if you have questions about how I did something, please email me and I’ll be happy to answer.

The rest of the smart Cookies will be joining the Tea Party throughout the day. In fact, most of them already have, and I already peeked at their cards, which are wonderful. Be sure to stop by their blogs and take a look for yourself:
